Moving into a new home can be overwhelming for anybody. Think about being able to finally move into a new home, but not having the ability to purchase the necessities to be able to fully live in it. Think about having a kitchen, but not having pots or pans to be able to use it. As we know, new homes do not come stocked with things like bedding, dishes, shower curtains, cleaning supplies, etc.
Our foundation completed an outreach that will impact 72 Veterans and their families in Ohio. This involved assembling “Welcome Home Kits” for formerly homeless Veterans in Ohio that includes dishes, bedding, blanket, towels, silverware, shower curtain, cleaning supplies, hygiene products, as well as, pots and pans. In addition, we also created "Family Movie Night" packages filled with popcorn kernels, popcorn popper, popcorn toppings, and candy to help the families make memories in their new space.
Thank you to the Albany Family for joining us at Trashcab to volunteer for this large outreach in honor of Thomas Albany. Thomas was a Combat Veteran that deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan as part of the 1413th ENCO out of Franklin, Indiana.
