The University of Notre Dame Shamrock Series football game returned this weekend when the Fighting Irish traveled to Chicago to take on the University of Wisconsin at Soldier Field.
The football team wasn't the only group coming from campus to Chicago; student-veterans were too as part of an Operation Joy initiative through our foundation.
"A memory that I will definitely have forever." - Undergraduate Notre Dame Student-Veteran
On Saturday, September 25th graduate and undergraduate student-veterans from the University of Notre Dame joined us for a VIP experience. Early in the morning they loaded up in a luxury limo in South Bend, IN to travel in style to Chicago, IL. When they arrived, the veterans were dropped off directly at where the Big Noon Kickoff pregame show on Fox was being filmed at. This group had the opportunity to enjoy behind the scenes access including taking pictures on set, as well as, autographs with our founder Brady Quinn. Once the show started, they were able to enjoy it front row.
"The day from start until finish was an unforgettable experience." - Undergraduate Notre Dame Student-Veteran
In addition, 3rd & Goal worked with the student-veterans to make sure they were all able to attend the football game, receive Notre Dame gear, and get back safely to campus in a limo filled with snacks.
Special thank you to everyone who made this possible including our friends at Big Noon Kickoff and Dr. Philbin.
