New this year, we have expanded our Operation Joy programing to include a Father’s Day outreach for veterans in need. Our foundation worked closely with the social workers at the Chalmers P. Wylie Ambulatory Care Center to identity several veterans who are fathers that were in need of basic essentials. Those veterans then provided our foundation with a wish list of items for Father's Day.
Among the 13 veterans that were in this program, our foundation worked hard to complete nearly every item on each of their lists. We purchased new household appliances, essential kitchen items, clothing, hygiene products and much more for the veterans in need. After we gathered all the items, volunteers then wrapped the gifts so that veterans had gifts to open on Father's Day.
Thank you to Team 3&G for making this possible!
Special thank you to the Hoff family for their generosity; they shopped for three veterans in honor of their father who was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army.
Our amazing volunteer Ms. Donna spent time wrapping all of the gifts for our veterans.
Ms. Chapman and Sue Brown provided financial donations to support this outreach which was greatly appreciated.
LAZ Parking provided assistance in delivering the items for us which we could not have done without them.
It was a true team effort and we are proud of the difference we were able to make for veterans in need right here in Columbus, OH.
