Dublin Schools Making a Difference

Whether it was writing letters of gratitude or collecting hygiene supplies for our homeless veterans and everything in between, Dublin, OH came together in a big way. Over a thousand students and 12 schools in the Dublin City School District partnered with the 3rd & Goal Foundation in honor of Veteran's Day. Each of the schools supported the foundation in their very own way, but one thing was consistent with each one, they were helping us make a difference in the lives of veterans in need right here in Ohio.

All of the donations will be used for 3rd & Goal's Adopt a Hero initiative that "Adopts" homeless or formerly homeless veterans and their families during the holiday season. Each of the families will receive clothes, shoes, toys, hygiene products and much more.

Fun Facts:

  • The students created over 750 thank you notes.

  • Approximately 60 students created 325 ornaments to be used on the Christmas trees at the veterans-only homeless shelter.

  • Dublin Scioto High School made over 25 blankets, as well as, collected much needed supplies like coats, soap and toys.

  • Thomas Elementary not only wrote thoughtful letters, but they also collected wrapping paper.
